PA is not just designed for teaching cadets for the first time but can also be used to ensure that learning is consistent across all cadets. So some cadets may have already been taught elements of PA but it is still good for them to attend. You can click each section below to see the relevant page within the PD handbook.

• Miranda Rights

• 311, Radio channels, etiquette

• Ensure all Cadet profiles are upto date for dna/photos/prints etc - Ensure they have a weapons license and that its updated in the profile.

• Firearms (Class 1), Armory

• Evidence collection & logging

• Foot chase Theory

• MDT Usage, Searching & Profiling

• Warrants/BOLOs

Move to the motor pool

• Vehicle Basics (Which vehicles to use, sirens, lights, radar, plate scan)

• Pursuit Theory, Driving & Comms

• Garage, tows repairs & General use

• Pit, Box, Spike Theory
